General English

English Courses for Juniors

These courses are specifically designed for learners between 7 and 18 years old.

English for Academic Purposes

Intensive English language classes at all levels from beginners to advanced which run throughout the year for the duration that you require. The focus is on developing all language skills while extending vocabulary and the authentic use of a thorough range of other activities, including academic subjects.

English Plus Multi Activities

This course is offered from March to September and combines the study of English Language with a range of activities including creative arts and sports such as basketball, cycling, orienteering, volleyball, badminton and squash. Courses can be tailor-made to suit individuals or groups and special interests can be catered for, subject to availability.

SCHOOL PREPARATION

This course prepares students who wish to enter a school in the UK and then continue their studies at a University or College in Britain. Students are accepted with all levels of English and tested on arrival.

PRE-SESSIONAL ENGLISH COURSE

This course is designed to improve your English language skills before you start an undergraduate or postgraduate degree course. This programme will help you to achieve the entry level for your degree course and to improve your confidence before starting your degree course. The length of the course will depend on your English level when you apply and the level you need for your university course.

FOUNDATION PROGRAMME

Entry to any UK university requires A-level, i.e. a 13-year study period. But many countries especially in the Gulf and the Middle East pre-University education ends with the Secondary School Certificate (Thanaweyya), which end at year 12. In order for holders of this Thanaweyya to enter a UK university, they have to enrol onto a Foundation programmes to make up for the equivalent of year 13. Therefore, Foundation Programmes are courses that prepare you for entry onto an undergraduate degree in UK universities. The course you intend to take in your undergraduate study will determine which foundation to apply for. Foundation programmes help you improve your understanding of one or more subjects necessary to study for a degree. The programme will often include a study of English to help improve language ability.

UNDERGRADUATE

Undergraduate degrees are a range of courses for students going to university for the first time. The undergraduate programme ends with a ‘bachelor’ degree with the relevant class and title, e.g. BSc, BEng, MPHarm, … etc.

POSTGRADUATE

If you have undertaken previous studies or have experience in a chosen field, usually an undergraduate degree, and you wish to continue on with your studies and learn more about a particular subject, there are a range of postgraduate qualifications available for you in the UK. There are many benefits to undertaking postgraduate depending on the nature of your chosen area of study. For instance, there are the professional Masters degree such as MBAs, MEds, and others.
